Here’s how to label your boxes like a pro and save your future self a lot of pain.

• Always write what room the box belongs to.
• Write it on the top and at least on one side.
• Use a thick marker. No pencil. You’re not taking a test.
• Be specific. Don't just write “stuff” or “kitchen things.” Write “plates and mugs” or “bathroom towels.”
• Bonus tip: Color code your boxes. Use red for kitchen, blue for bedroom, green for bathroom. It looks cool and it actually works.
